Theo personally designs every creation in the St Petersburg Collection.
These are original works of art and are not copies of ‘Grandfather’s’ pieces.
There are approximately 75 Eggs in the Collection, of which approximately 30 are completely sold out.
Additionally, the Collection has a number of unique objets of vertu which include wonderful desk accessories, guilloché enamelled frames, and jewellery in addition to Eggs.
Theo Fabergé only used the finest materials:
The wooden Eggs are made of cocobolo wood, a replenished and exotic wood from Central America, and bubinga wood from Central Asia.
The Russian Imperial Crown, which adorns most of Theo’s Collection, is made of sterling silver and 24-ct gold set with a fine cabochon ruby.
Creations are handpainted in enamel with 23/24-carat gold and often over 24% lead crystal.
Surprises often sit on a sterling silver tray, which reveals a hidden compartment.
The surprises themselves are made from a variety of exquisite materials including sterling silver, 18-ct gold, sapphire, diamonds, coral, carnelian, 23 carat gold on crystal, African blackwood.
The jewellery pieces include mother of pearl, sapphire, rock crystal, Alexandrite heart, brilliant cut diamonds and cabochon rubies.
Note: Theo’s own hallmarks are found on all items made of sterling silver or gold.
